Health Problems in Our Community

Today, most Americans die from chronic diseases such as heart disease, cancer, stroke, and complications from diabetes. Unfortunately, ethnic and racial minorities are more likely to die or have poor health outcomes from these chronic diseases. Although a majority of these are preventable, economic, social, environmental, and genetic factors contribute to these health disparities.
